About Me

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth"
                                                                                                       - Acts 1:8

My heart is that those I meet and know would experience the hope, joy, peace, freedom and love that is capable of withstanding any situation or circumstance that life can throw our way and that is through knowing Jesus Christ. I truly desire that my life would glorify the God who continues to prove Himself over and over again to me as being the one whom I can put my faith and trust in and who will never let me down. Everywhere in our world today there are people hurting and broken and desperate to know that there is a God who has not only created them but also loves them unconditionally and has placed worth, value, purpose and meaning on their lives. This God is our Provider, our Healer, our Redeemer and Friend. My heart's cry is that we as believers in Jesus would rise to a call from God to see those around us, (whether fellow believers, or friends and family that don't know Him, or even complete strangers that don't know Him) through His eyes, and through that perspective we would love them the way that we have experienced God's love for us. I have realized that the change I want to see in the world starts with me and my prayer is that God would continue to shape me into the person that He has called me to be. May I never walk in front of Him or behind Him but always hand in hand alongside Him, completely in-tune with what He is speaking and desiring to do through me. What an honor and privilege it is to be a bearer of the hope that changes lives for eternity!!!

Things I love...
  • Adventure!!! I love being spontaneous and at times a bit crazy :). This is a huge reason why I love to travel so much as well.
  • Anything outdoors: hiking, camping, fishing (usually with my dad when I'm home), snowboarding (although I definitely need more practice haha)
  • The sun, beach, ocean....which I no longer live close to but pray that God might bring  me back to someday haha
  • Sports! even if I am not super good, recently have been playing a lot of volleyball and a tiny bit of soccer, so fun, I think I'm actually getting better!
  • Music! It has the ability to completely change my day or my mood.
  • People!! I love big groups of people and just hanging out. If there is a group of people doing something fun I want to be a part of it.
  • Reading...I love all kinds of books but my favorites usually have to do with missions, some of them are Peace Child, Anointed for Burial, Imprisoned in Iran....currently I am reading The Heavenly Man
  • Coffee...I love everything about it!!

In the Past...
These past couple years I have had the incredible opportunity to be involved with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) and have worked as DTS (Discipleship Training School) Staff, leading teams to a few different places throughout Southeast Asia. That time for me was not only a neat time of seeing what God did in the students' lives but also such a neat time of personal growth for me as a new leader. God taught me so much about who He is, who I am, and who He wants me to be. I was also able to see what God has been doing around the world and had the privilege of being a part of it along with many others. Anywhere there are people that are hungry for God and willing to be used by Him, the Lord is moving in powerful ways. It has been so neat to witness God moving in incredible ways across the globe.

Currently...
I have just now completed a nine month course with YWAM called the SBS (School of Biblical Studies) in Lakeside, Montana. This course teaches students how to study their Bibles using the inductive method and goes through the entire Bible in nine months. Through this course God has given me an incredible love for the word of God and a desire that all might study it and learn more of what it says. I have been asked to return to the YWAM base in Lakeside to help staff this very school and will now have the opportunity to learn how to teach others the Bible and how to study it themselves. Though I know that this next step will have many challenges that come with it, I am confident that the Lord will be with me and as I continue to focus on Him, He will equip me for all that He's called me to do and say. I am excited to see the Lord move in the hearts of many more that will come and walk through this course and believe that through what I and the other staff members are doing, we will see much fruit of the truth of God going out into the nations to reach more for His kingdom.

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.'"
